Project overview
Les Terrasses de La Vidalie is an independent French winery and farm rooted in the landscapes and traditions of southern France.
Over the years, I had the opportunity to design different parts of the brand, from its visual identity to its wine labels and website. I later revisited the project as a whole, refining the original work into a more coherent visual system built around the character of the estate and its products.

Building the identity around the estate
At the center of the identity is an illustrated logomark inspired by the nature of the estate’s activities, as they produce both wine and goat cheese.
On either side of the logo, two goat heads are connected by lines ending in vine leaves. At the center, a bunch of grapes is represented within a circular shape.
The identity was refined around a simple principle: preserve the character and authenticity expected from a family-run winery without falling into the visual clichés traditionally associated with wine, while also reflecting the diversity of the estate’s activities.
From identity to bottle
The label became the most important physical expression of the brand.
I designed a new label for a limited-edition cuvée, the “Cuvée Ambroise”. At its center, an aerial view of the estate, rendered in the brand’s signature red, is incorporated into the shape of the French département where the winery is located: Cantal.
Rather than treating the packaging as a separate piece, the label extends the same visual language established by the identity, creating a bottle that feels distinctive and unmistakably part of La Vidalie.
Bringing the winery online
The website translates the same identity into a digital experience, introducing the estate, its wines, cheeses and story through an editorial, image-led interface.
Typography, spacing and imagery carry the visual language of the brand into the web, creating consistency across its physical and digital touchpoints.
Together, the identity, packaging and website form a unified system designed to let the products, the place and the people behind them take the lead.
